Dearest family,

Happy mother´s day!!!! It was so fun to see yall yesterday!!! I forgot how funny and kind of crazy yall are. One of the best moments was when Lindsey stuck her toe in her nose. I have not seen anyone do that my whole mission, let alone pregnant!

This week in the mission was really great! We are really excited for Juan Carlos. He gets baptized the 25th of this month. We have been working with him for 3 or 4 months now. He had a stroke and has some problems with his memory, but slowly and sure he is progressing. He has only missed church once or twice because he was sick. Nothing else has kept him from coming to church since we invited him the first week.

We also had a great lesson with a new couple we are teaching, antonio and tania. They are really young with two kids, and are really sweet. Antonio asked us, "Why is life unfair and so hard?¨ we have been trying to answer him, but he really struggles to understand. We had a lesson with them and a member that is preparing to serve a mission, and it was one of the best lessons that we have had in a long time. The Spirit was really strong, and the best part was that they felt the Spirit and recognized it. Hopefully they keep progressing.

This week we also had exchanges and I spent a day with Hermana Sanabria from Paraguay. We did exchanges twice at the beginning of my mission, so it was great to see her again and spend a day preaching the gospel with her. We found 3 less actives in the street while contacting that day. There are lots of less actives here in Chile. One of them came to church this past week and it was great!

This week I learned that the Lord truly knows me, listens to me, and answers my prayers. I was having a hard time one day, and another sister missionary said a couple things to me that was exactly what I needed to hear. She did not know that those little comments were going to answer my prayers, but I am really glad that she listened to the Spirit. Also, I learned about faith and that we truly just need to ask things with faith. Many times I ask things, knowing that the Lord can answer my prayer, but not believing that He will or that He wants to answer me. I am learning that He truly wants to answer us, that the promise in the scriptures is true, Ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you. All we need to do is have faith, believe, and listen to the spirit as we pray so that we do not ask things contrary to the Lord´s will. Prayer is powerful. I recommend it to everyone!

I love yall a ton!!!! Keep praying with all your heart!!!

love
