Dearest familia,

How is everything going there in the US of A? Is it scorching hot yet in Texas? Congratulations Ben on making it through your senior year! That is really exciting!

The mission is one of the coolest experiences of my life. Sometimes, at every turn someone wants to listen to us and the message we share. Other days, we walk in the rain for hours and no one wants to listen, but we keep going always. No matter what the conditions, we always learn a lot! This week the Lord taught me a lot about faith. The Lord can do miracles, but sometimes we do not have the faith sufficient so therefore He cannot do the miracles that we desire. I am learning that I have to believe that He not only can, but wants to help us reach the goals that we have. Fortunately, the Lord is very patient because I learn really slow :).

The baptism dates that we had before all fell through and we had to rebuild this week. Juan Carlos, an older man that had a stroke and suffers from some memory loss, forgot that he had a baptism date and told us that he needed more time. Well, when we told the bishop, he took him into his office and talked to him reasonably and now he has a date for the end of the month. We just have to work really hard so that he can learn everything and be ready (and remember). He is really great and excited to serve in the church. We also saw some miracles with some part member families that we are working with. THe moms arent members and before they were really closed, but the Lord works miracles and they are opening up now. They just need to get married (that can be a hard thing for people to understand here in Chile) and will be golden.

Ghislaine, who got baptized about three weeks ago, is accompanying us once a week at least now. SHe is 19 years old and wants to serve a mission in a year. Friday, in the rain, she accompanied us for 4 hours in the cold and rain and only stopped because the relief society asked her to help out in an activity in the church that night. She is a great example of being willing to work and serve. She is going to be a great missionary one day!

Remember the promises that the Lord has made, and also the promises that we have made to the Lord. The Lord ALWAYS fulfills His part of the promise, always. We just have to trust Him and believe that He will do it, have faith, and do our part. I love yall a ton!!!! Keep your faith burning brightly!

love
